KISS: UNITED KINGDOM SINGLES DISCOGRAPHY

EMI DISTRIBUTION, "Bogart" Type 1 Label (1975-6)

NOTHIN' TO LOSE / Love Theme From KISS
Casablanca/EMI CBX-503 (UK, 1975)
The very first UK KISS single released in January 1975. All of the E.M.I. distributed singles are highly collectible, and all seem to be more common as "Demo" singles, though regular release versions do exist. Like the others this issue sells in the range of $35-50.
UK Promotional Version

KEY SINGLE! ROCK AND ROLL ALL NITE / Anything For My Baby
Casablanca/EMI CBX-510 (UK, 1975)
The second UK KISS single released in June 1975. All of the E.M.I. distributed singles are highly collectible, and all seem to be more common as "Demo" singles, though regular release versions do exist. Like the others this issue sells in the range of $35-50.
UK Promotional Version

KEY SINGLE! FLAMING YOUTH / DO YOU LOVE ME? // Detroit Rock City / Beth
Casablanca/EMI S-PRS-398 (UK, 1976)
A promotional white label single issued around the same time that the Summer Tour Album was released in the US - indeed, this is the UK equivilent of that release, though it does not feature a picture sleeve and comes in 7" format. The rarest single in the UK catalog which sells for $125. Probably issued to radio around March 1976...
Flaming Youth EP: Side 1 | Side 2

SHOUT IT OUT LOUD / Sweet Pain
Casablanca/EMI CBX-516 (UK, 1976)
Released in June 1976. All of the E.M.I. distributed singles are highly collectible, and all seem to be more common as "Demo" singles, though regular release versions do exist. Like the others this issue sells in the range of $35-50.
UK Promotional Version

BETH / God Of Thunder
Casablanca/EMI CBX-519 (UK, 1976)
The final E.M.I. distributed single released in July 1976. All of the E.M.I. distributed singles are highly collectible, and all seem to be more common as "Demo" singles, though regular release versions do exist. Like the others this issue sells in the range of $35-50. This single is interesting because it was one of the few singles to feature "Beth" and the A-side before the song too off in the US.
UK Promotional Version

GENE SIMMONS: RADIOACTIVE / When You Wish Upon A Star
Casablanca/Pye CAN-134 (UK, 1978)
While the back covers tout the release of the KISS solo albums, none of them were ever released in the UK and the solo singles were the only domestic releases of material from those albums. Gene's single was released on Dec. 1st. Like the others this single comes in numerous formats: colored vinyl, promotional colored vinyl, promotional black vinyl, and regular black vinyl. There are two different picture sleeves depending on the inclusion of the colored vinyl, which also came with a folded paper mask featuring the face of the respective band member. The colored vinyl versions are highly collectible often selling for around $60+ if they come with the proper picture sleeve and mask. Naturally, the promotional colored vinyl version sells for slightly more. The black vinyl version with picture sleeve sells for $25-30, while the promo, which doesn't come with a picture sleeve sells for around $25.
Red Vinyl Release Version

ACE FREHLEY: NEW YORK GROOVE / Snowblind
Casablanca/Pye CAN-135 (UK, 1978)
While the back covers tout the release of the KISS solo albums, none of them were ever released in the UK and the solo singles were the only domestic releases of material from those albums. Ace's single was released on Dec. PETER CRISS: YOU MATTER TO ME / Hooked On Rock 'N Roll
Casablanca/Pye CAN-139 (UK, 1979)
While the back covers tout the release of the KISS solo albums, none of them were ever released in the UK and the solo singles were the only domestic releases of material from those albums. Peter's single was released on Jan. 26th.
Green Vinyl Release Version

PAUL STANLEY: HOLD ME, TOUCH ME / Goodbye
Casablanca/Pye CAN-140 (UK, 1979)
While the back covers tout the release of the KISS solo albums, none of them were ever released in the UK and the solo singles were the only domestic releases of material from those albums. Paul's single was released on Jan. 26th. This single offers an interesting "extra" version with some copies coming with a mispress: While Side-B states that "Goodbye" is included on the vinyl, it actually plays "Love In Chains". This mispress versions seems to be as common as the correctly pressed version, but it is interesting nonetheless. It is also possible that this applies to other versions of the single.

PETER CRISS: DON'T YOU LET ME DOWN / Hooked On Rock 'N Roll
Casablanca/Pye CAN-142 (UK, 1979)

ACE FREHLEY: RIP IT OUT / What's On Your Mind?
Casablanca/Pye CAN-149 (UK, 1979)
If this single was actually ever released at all, then it was in black vinyl without a picture sleeve. Only seen in promotional format.

I WAS MADE FOR LOVIN' YOU / Hard Times
Casablanca/Pye CAN-152 (UK, 1979)
Features a picture sleeve which is the same as used in other European countries for this release. Copies with the picture sleeve sell for around $20 while others sell for $10-15. One thing that is very confused about this single is the sleeve which often turns up with copies. It uses the call letters for the US release, which was common on some Belgian issues, which used domestically printed sleeves containing import US vinyl, so it is possible that these sleeves are actually not UK issues.
