Thursday, January 20, 2005 11:33:15 AM - KISSWorld Issues Statement...
Perhaps unhappy at the posting of images of the incomplete "KISSWorld" store in Melbourne, KISSWorld has issued a statement
on their website:

"Yes, we know! Like you we have become frustrated beyond words with the delays for the KISSWORLD Store. Dealing with
Shopfitters, Landlords, Engineers and the like and constantly being given promises to correct structural problems and
other issues with a building that is new has become tiresome. The Directors have therefore decided that it is in
KISSWORLD's best interest to commence investigating alternative sites for our Superstore. In the meantime we will continue
to work behind the scenes on the stores requirements & opening and also on other new products for fans.
All orders of course will be honoured and by the way, for those who like spreading rumours, KISSWORLD isn't closing down.
Until we find new premises that are of the standard that reflect everything KISS stands for, the KISSWORLD website
www.kissworld.net will be your link to authentic KISS memorabilia. So you can
continue to order with confidence and we look forward to your continuing patronage. KISSWORLD will soon be introducing a
broad range of other, Non Kiss, Memorabilia and Merchandise for Bands, Sports Stars, Movie Stars, Etc. At KISSWORLD we
want to cater for all of your Memorabilia and Merchandise needs. If there's one thing that everyone who has bought from
KISSWORLD knows, it's the high quality, standard and the guaranteed authenticity of our products. There are plenty of fake
products out there and it was something that we made a top priority when we began KISSWORLD, as we wanted to clean up the
industry and make sure people were getting what they paid for. As you can see from the photographs on the site, we're
hands on. We like to be involved with the memorabilia design, manufacture and autograph process and take photos of the
artists signing when we're allowed, so we can show you that at KISSWORLD it's always authentic.
We will continue to keep you updated."
KISSFAQ says: Well, it is clear that the rumour mill wouldn't be appreciated by the business, however posting images of the location touted
as being the physical KISS World store, shouldn't be seen as being any big deal, since the store hasn't even opened yet, and
it was known to have not been completed. Here are those pictures again:

Part of the "state" of the store in those images was apparently the result of the physical location being leased to a third
party during the Christmas season, rather than allow the building to simply remain empty - thus the pictures are technically
not of "KISS World," just the building. Some KISS World merchandise was also offered in the store... «Post A Comment»

Wednesday, January 19, 2005 5:17:31 AM - Bruce Kulick denies replacing Mick Mars on Crue Tour...
(From: Blabbermouth)
"Former KISS guitarist Bruce Kulick is the latest musician to deny that he has been approached by MÖTLEY CRÜE to replace
Mick Mars during the group's upcoming tour. Mars, 53, who suffers from the chronic degenerative illness ankylosing
spondylitis, has been recovering after hip-replacement surgery last October. One of Sweden's biggest daily newspapers,
Expressen, reported in today's edition that CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee was quoted on the band's official web site as having
stated during a recent radio interview that Kulick has already been confirmed as the replacement for Mars should Mick be
forced to miss any of the dates on the band's upcoming tour. Commenting on the rumors, Johannes Lindström, the publicist
for the Sweden Rock festival, where CRÜE are scheduled to perform in June, said, "It's very possible that that [Mick will
have to be replaced on the upcoming tour]. He doesn't look very well [based on recent photos]. But we have not yet
received any information other than that Mick is on board for the tour."
"Contacted directly by Expressen, Kulick shot down the rumors, stating, "I have not been contacted by CRÜE. I know Nikki
Sixx [MÖTLEY CRÜE bassist] and if the plan was for me to jump in as the guitar player, he would have called me. "I wish
Mick all the best and I am convinced that he is well enough to play the shows," Kulick added"... «Post A Comment»

Wednesday, January 19, 2005 5:17:31 AM - Dying Teen Meets Lifelong Idol GENE SIMMONS...
(From: Blabbermouth)
Pablo Fernandez of the Calgary Sun reports:
"It wasn't Detroit Rock City, but a trip to L.A. to meet his music idol was the next best thing for a Red Deer teen.
Fighting a deadly disease, Vaughn Tayler's dream of meeting his idol Gene Simmons came true, thanks to a foundation that
grants kids wishes that are otherwise out of reach. The 14-year-old was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at birth. He
started suffering seizures 11 years ago, became a huge fan of the band KISS seven years later, and had one mighty wish
come true last month when the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada flew Vaughn and his family to L.A. to meet the
legendary band's bass player.
"When he came into the restaurant, I recognized him right away, so I ran up to him and shook his hand," said Vaughn. "He
was like a normal guy, but fabulous ... I wish I could've stayed down there." Vaughn, along with his mother Yvette, his
half-sister and stepfather, flew to L.A. on Dec. 13, for a one-week trip that included lunch with Simmons and an afternoon
with the rock star. Vaughn also had a chance to visit Universal Studios, Venice Beach and was given a tour of McGhee
Productions, which has recorded names such as KISS, BON JOVI and AEROSMITH. Yvette said Vaughn has devoted a large
portion of his life to KISS and has read everything he can find about the band, and Simmons in particular. He even gets
into full KISS regalia for Halloween, said Yvette.
And because Vaughn's second love is basketball, the foundation also made it possible for the teen to attend an L.A. Lakers
game. Vaughn's bout with cystic fibrosis means he needs daily medical care and must consume an immense amount of pills.
His struggle has left him with severe stomach aches, impaired hearing and brain damage. Those stricken with the genetic
disease rarely live to be 32"... «Post A Comment»
Wednesday, January 19, 2005 5:17:31 AM - GENE SIMMONS Announces More Projects, Offers No Specifics...
(From: Blabbermouth)
KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons has posted the following message on his web site:
"Staying busy. "My partner and I have been pitching three shows to network TV...looks good. And, met yesterday the head of
another network to talk about two TV shows. A one-hour and a half-hour show. And, my partner and I had a very good
conversation with the head of another network regarding a weekly one-hour show. "Some of the shows involve me in front and
in back of the camera, and some of the other shows simply involve me as a co-creator/producer.
"A separate and very exciting development is moving ahead full steam — including funding. It involves sports and a
delivery system. "The reason I'm not more specific and/or mention names of people and projects is that until the projects
are real, they're not real. I never use the phrase 'The studio/TV network is very interested.' 'Very interested' means
nothing. It means you didn't get a yes. And until and if you ever get a yes, assume the answer is no. Most people in the
motion picture and television industry don't like their business bandied about. Neither do I. I can be more specific and
post news only when signatures appear on contracts. Before than, we have to assume '..it's not real.'
"Ran into Randy Jackson, the 'American Idol' judge and former JOURNEY bass player/CBS A&R man and good guy. I was a guest
judge on 'Idol' recently and the show will soon be broadcast. Have no dates, but when I do, will post. "Closing in on
contracts for a brand new comic book venture. This will involve super heroes and we intend on breaking ground in the
delivery system — meaning, the comic books will appear a new form. Can't be more specific just yet."... «Post A Comment»

Wednesday, January 19, 2005 5:17:31 AM - GENE SIMMONS To Write Book About 'Oldest Profession In The World'...
(From: Blabbermouth)
KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons has posted the following message on his official web site:
"Came back from Las Vegas last night exhausted. My partner and I were there shooting a new reality TV show (mine). We're
shooting the parties and events I go to. Lots of fun. "The Adult Video Awards show was quite an event. The
comedienne/hostess of the show (I'm embarrassed to say I've forgotten her name) picked on everyone. White people. Black
people. Porn stars. Everyone... including me. Couldn't stop laughing. She was hilarious.
"During the days, we hit the conventions: The Adult Convention and the CES (Computer Electronics) Convention. Have never
seen more people in Vegas. It was packed. "We were barely able to get out of town (all flights were full) and while I was
gulping down morning coffee at the airport, Cedric The Entertainer came over to say hello. A good guy. He mentioned he had
seen footage of the upcoming John Travolta/Uma Thurman 'Be Cool' movie, (which is a follow up to 'Get Shorty'). I appear
in the film as a cameo, sitting next to Cedric. Then, Sinbad came over (on his way elsewhere) and we all shot the s&%t
for a while.
"Got up early today and spent a few hours with my co-writer on the other end of the phone. We were hashing out my next
book: no title yet, but the general idea is: the oldest profession in the world...a rose by any other name, still means
the same. I'm fascinated by the idea that man is willing to pay for it, and always has. Yes. Even when he gets married. He
will pay. He always pays. "The book will be light-hearted, but will deal with issues I've found interesting. Maybe you will, too.
"'My Dad The Rock Star', the cartoon show I'm proud to say I created, and which has been playing successfully around the
world for two years, is finally going to premier in America on Nickelodeon on January the 31st. You'll soon be seeing
advertising for it. Check it out"... «Post A Comment»

Friday, January 07, 2005 4:46:09 PM - Ace Frehley's "Remedy" coming to video...

(From Blabbermouth)
"The movie "Remedy", starring former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley, will be released at the end of March, according to an
e-mail received by BLABBERMOUTH.NET from the film's lead writer, Nicholas Reiner. The movie, which features Frehley in the
role of "Johnny," will have national video distribution via MTI Home Video in Blockbuster as well as other stores. A
trailer for the film can be viewed at this location. According to the movie's official web site, "Remedy" is "film-noir
in the fast lane — a darkly comic tale. It is the mystery surrounding the murder of one of a tightly knit band of
friends. Extreme indulgences and the never-ending New York nightlife drive the group into realms of insanity. Eventually
they destroy each other and themselves."

Friday, January 07, 2005 4:46:09 PM - Gene Simmons sued by former "girlfiend"...
(From Yahoo)
By SAMUEL MAULL, Associated Press Writer
"NEW YORK - A woman who says she is a former girlfriend of KISS rocker Gene Simmons (news) is suing him for slander,
saying the bass guitarist made her sound like a "sex-addicted nymphomaniac" during a "rockumentary" on VH-1
television. Georgeann Walsh Ward, 53, of Chester, N.Y., says in court papers that a photo of her appeared 11 times during
the report on KISS, shown on the network several times in July and August, while Simmons claimed to have had sexual
encounters with 4,600 women.
The documentary, "When KISS Ruled The World," purported to chronicle the band's 30-year career, assess its impact on rock
music, and expose the quartet's "wild" antics. The other band members were guitarist/singer Paul Stanley (news), drummer
Peter Criss (news), and guitarist Ace Frehley. Simmons says during the show, "There wasn't a girl that was off limits, and
I enjoyed everyone of them," court papers say. At another point Simmons says, "I was a 24-hour whore. All I ever thought
about was sex." This, court papers say, was shown and followed by a photo of Ward with Simmons.
Ward's papers say that because a photo of her with Simmons was shown during remarks about his sexual adventures, she was
in effect portrayed as "wild" and "unchaste." "The implication was that (Ward) was a prostitute and/or solicited
prostitutes, and/or (she was) a sexually loose woman," court papers say. Ward, married with a 21-year-old son, said she
met Simmons at a concert in October 1972 when she was 21. For the next three years through fall of 1975, she says in court
papers, they were in what she believed was "an exclusive, monogamous, romantic relationship."
During much of the time they were together, Ward's court papers say, Simmons was a college student and then a sixth-grade
teacher "until the success of KISS propelled him out of the classroom and out of plaintiff's life." Ward's lawsuit, filed
Thursday in Manhattan's State Supreme Court, asks for unspecified damages from Simmons and his company, and from Viacom,
VH-1's parent company, for alleged defamation and invasion of privacy.
Laura Nelson, spokeswoman for Viacom, said she could not comment on pending litigation. No spokesperson for Simmons could
be reached for comment." «Post A Comment»
Friday, January 07, 2005 4:46:09 PM - Gene Simmons, American Idol judge?
(From Boston Herald)
By SAMUEL MAULL, Associated Press Writer
"The first-round wannabes on ``American Idol'' will have a special challenge this year, facing such famous names as Gene
Simmons of the band KISS, Brandy and LL Cool J along with the regular judges as they try, and mostly fail, to sing their
way onto the show. The fourth season on Fox will include four, instead of only two, of the popular early-round episodes,
featuring eager contestants, many of who are hilariously or even pathetically unsuited to stardom. Don't expect too many
changes. 'The show works, so we don't want to overfix it,' Executive Producer Ken Warwick told USA Today. The new season
starts Jan. 18." «Post A Comment»
