THE UNRELEASED & RELATED
Then I Made A Wish (The Cellarmen, 1968)
Track Notes:
** Written by Bob Dorsey and Harry Simon, the Cellarmen would record, and to a certain extent rearrange, this somewhat
psychadelic piece at Jody Records in Brooklyn. This song would be the B-side of the privately pressed Jody 45. Like the
A-side track, "I Found You (The One I Adore)", this track would be produced by Vincent Vallis and Henry De Meo with Henry
again adding a three-note trumpet part...
[Verse]
When I awoke at dawn
I knew not what to do
It was such a beautiful morning
My thoughts, they wandered to you
[Verse]
The rising sun, so bright
Filled my room with breaking light
And everywhere I looked
Appeared lovely visions of you
[Chorus]
And then I made a wish
Inside was only suspense
That all these visions seen
Would never ever end
[Guitar Solo]
[Verse]
So now a wish I made
I'd like to gladly say
This should be for me a very
Remarkably happy day
A remarkably happy day
A remarkably happy day
A remarkably happy day
