When You Grow Tired (Crystal Collins, 1969)

Track Notes:
** "When You Grow Tired" was the second song recorded by The Cellarmen acting as a backing band to vocalist Crystal Collins. Like "No Matter How You Try", while the band had nothing to do with the writing of the material, the band was responsible for the arrangement, though the writer wasn't initially amused. The songs would be recorded on the small Jody record label in a basement studio...

Aaah-ah (ooh-ah)

[Verse]
Won't you come back
When you grow tired
When you grow tired, tired of her
We'll build together that little love nest
That will withstand storms and wind
You're my darling, don't you worry
I'm coming back when you're arms are lonely
We're roped together and forever
Hand in hand, hand in hand

[Spoken]
I'll just steal away some dark cloud
And hide my heartache and misery
Quite rather not to be there
When she takes you away from me

[Verse]
So long darling, I must be leaving
Before you see me, see me cry
But I'll be back when your new love
Tells you "Goodbye", tells you "goodbye"

Aaah-ah (ooh-ah)
Aaah-ah (ooh-ah)

[Guitar Solo]

[Verse]
I'll just steal away some dark cloud
And hide my heartache and misery
Though I'd rather not to be there
When she takes you away from me

[Verse]
So long darling, I must be leaving
Before you see me break down and cry
But I'll be back when your new love
Tells you "Goodbye", tells you "goodbye"

Be back when your new love says "goodbye", says "goodbye"
But I'll back when your new love says "goodbye", says "goodbye"
But I'll back when your new love says "goodbye", says "goodbye"
