THE UNRELEASED & RELATED
Back Into My Arms Again (Ace Frehley, 1984)
Track Notes:
** Dating from 1984, with the song's copyright registered in August, this song was written by Ace and Arthur Stead and has
long been considered one of the best, and most developed, unreleased pieces of material from the Comet's early era. It too
would get regular play in early Comet sets and has sometimes been referred to by the title "Ecstacy." Sung by Ace, the
track could essentially be considered a power ballad, though Ace has also commented that he doesn't feel the song had
reached a finished form (no matter how good fans think it is)...
[Verse]
Time
Has never gone so slowly
And baby
Time
Has really taken it's toll
Anyone can see
[Verse]
That I
Have never been so lonely
And all the years gone by
Will never hide the lines
Does it show on me?
[Verse]
I can't forget
The things you said
And nothing takes away my memories
I loved you then
I love you now
I'm always dreamin' of the day I hear you say your
[Chorus I]
Comin' back
Into my arms again
For everyone to see
Looking at you
Looking at me
Can this really be?
[Verse]
I
Could not believe my eyes
When you walked by
Baby what a surprise
Took my breath away
[Verse]
When I
Called out your name to see
And I realized
That thinkin' of you
Brought you back to me
[Verse]
I've always felt
We'd meet again
It's funny how fate lends a helping hand
Nothing's changed
Still feels the same
No more dreamin', did I really hear your saying you're
[Chorus I]
[Chorus II]
You're coming back
Into my arms again
Let everybody see
I'm it to you
And you're it to me
We're in ecstasy
[Solo]
[Chorus I]
[Chorus II]
